Rancor Rewind.... a reflection: Tony Cox asked me at the SOPOCU CON what I must feel when I see what the Rancors did Saturday. Coming from an outpost of one, to a garrison of +50, all I can say is, "I'm damn proud."
It's amazing to look back and see how far the Rancor Raiders have come and watch it grow into something more than you hoped for especially in a state dominated by Joe Sixpack. This convention also was something to behold, not only looking at those who embrace Star Wars but cosplay in general. Mississippi has come a long way and I hope it continues.
I would like to personally give thanks and a pat on the back to our commanding officer, Stephen Ballenger for his time, money and muscle for creating an awesome Blast A Trooper. Looking back on the con, it was great focal point for attendees.
I would also like to say job well done to all the Rancors who came out not only for the garrison but to support the convention and help promote fandom in Mississippi: Stephen Ballenger, Tony Cox, Carrie Bland, Jessica Desi Howard, Lance Barrett, Chris Alan Young, Chris Williams, Andy Love, Josh Cherry, Burell Leach, Staven Haydel, Brady Shorter, Trisha Morace, Paul David King, Heather Williams, Jay Sarrett and Steven Smith plus all their families who were there as well.
Mission Accomplished. "Bleed Green" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
